The Matica XID8300 is a retransfer ID card printer built for organisations that need high-volume, high-fidelity card production without dedicating a corner of the room to it. Retransfer printers typically come large — the XID8300 does not. It delivers full over-the-edge printing across both sides of the card at up to 120 cards per hour, in a footprint that fits where most direct-to-card units would sit.
This dual-sided model covers the full card surface, edge to edge, with the image quality retransfer is known for — sharper detail and better durability on textured or non-standard card surfaces than dye-sub direct printing can reliably achieve. For organisations issuing cards that need to hold up in the field, that distinction matters. Security options include UV dye-sublimation printing for counterfeit detection and IPSEC for encrypted data transfer during issuance — useful wherever card data security is a compliance consideration. A Kensington lock port is also available for physical security of the unit itself.
The bend remedy module — which corrects post-retransfer card warping — is available as an add-on for this dual-sided configuration. Manufacturer part number: DIH10458.
