Choosing ID badge reels for staff who scan their card all day
Anyone who has watched a nurse lean into a door reader with a lanyard round their neck understands the case for a badge reel. The reel clips to a belt, pocket or lanyard, the card sits on a retractable cord, and the whole thing snaps back when released.
In Ireland the heaviest users are hospitals, nursing homes, warehouses, pharmacies and any office where access control means tapping a card dozens of times a day.
