Choosing open-faced ID card holders

An open-faced holder is the default for a reason. The front of the ID card is exposed, so the photo, name and role can be read without anyone taking the card out, and the card can be swapped in seconds when someone leaves.   • Dual-sided holders are clear on both faces, so the back of the card, with emergency contacts or terms, is readable too. Choose these for cards printed on both sides.
  • Landscape or portrait follows the card design. A landscape holder hangs wide, a portrait holder hangs tall, and a card in the wrong one looks off no matter how good the print.
  • Colour. Clear keeps the card as designed; a coloured frame makes the role obvious from across a room.
