Choosing a Zebra P120i ribbon for a dual-sided printer
The P120i was the dual-sided sibling of the P110i, and plenty are still printing staff cards in Irish schools, clubs and offices that never saw a reason to replace a machine that works. A P120i prints both faces of the card, so the choice is whether the reverse is colour or black.
The everyday option is a YMCKO colour ribbon, which prints full colour on the front and, on a dual-sided machine, uses a second set of panels for the back. If the reverse is text only, a YMCKOK with a dedicated black panel prints more cards per ribbon. A monochrome black ribbon covers pre-printed cards where the printer only adds a name.
What to look for in a P120i ribbon
- Panel set. YMCKO for colour, YMCKOK for colour front and black back, K for monochrome.
- Series match. P110i and P120i ribbons are i-Series parts, not interchangeable with the later ZXP or ZC ranges.
- Yield. A dual-sided card consumes more ribbon than a single-sided one. Pricing is on request by phone.
Cards, cleaning and successors
The P120i takes standard PVC from blank white cards, and a cleaning kit at every ribbon change keeps the head free of dust. The single-sided sibling has its own P110i ribbons page, and the wider set is under Zebra i-Series ribbons. When the P120i retires, the Zebra ZC100 is its replacement; all Zebra consumables are under Zebra ribbons. We dispatch from Dublin.
